Focused on building skills for employment
Do you need to gain basic computer skills for work or study? If you have very limited computer skills or need to review the basics, this ‘hands-on’ course is ideal to get you started on your path to proficiency.
This basic computer skills course will allow you to gain an understanding of MS Office as you learn to access, create, save and manage documents and emails and use the Internet effectively.
Ideal for
The complete beginner. Previous computer skills are not required.
Entry requirements
- You need to be a Permanent resident, Australian or New Zealand citizen, Humanitarian or refugee visa holder, aged over 15 and looking for work.
- Intermediate level of English.
This course will give you the skills you need to
- Operate a personal computer
- Create simple Microsoft Word documents
- Send and receive emails
- Search the internet
- Develop typing skills
Outcomes
Units are selected from ICT10115 – Certificate I in Information, Digital Media and Technology. Upon successful completion students will receive a nationally accredited Statement of AttainmentOther information
