Course Outline

We offer a mixed beginner/pre-intermediate level English courses at subsidised rates in Maroubra for migrants and local residents.

Learn essential skills while you connect with other people in your local community. This course covers listening, speaking, reading and writing skills within an Australian context. Our highly qualified English teachers ensure the classes are interactive, informative and social.

This course is suitable for complete beginners and students with basic English language skills. Please contact us for a level assessment.

Outcomes

The class covers reading, writing, listening and speaking skills with units from FSK10213 Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways, 10362NAT Certificate I in Spoken and Written English and 10363NAT Certificate II in Spoken and Written English.

Upon successful completion, students will receive a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment.

What to bring

All course materials will be provided. Just bring a notebook and a pen and be ready to learn in a friendly and relaxed environment.

On the first day of class, please bring a photo ID, a Medicare card and your unique student identifier (USI) if you have one.

Full fee (tourist, working holiday and other types of temporary visas): 10 week course - $300

A reduced fee of $20 (subsidised by the NSW Government) for eligible permanent residents and citizens- Please call 9387 7400 make an appointment to check your eligibility.
