Course Outline

Improve your Aussie English to communicate effectively in everyday life or in the Australian workplace.

Topics include:

  • Australian pronunciation, intonation and stress
  • Australian idioms and slang
  • Vocabulary and grammar for effective communication
  • Using clear and polite language
  • Formal and informal registers
  • Non-verbal communication
  • Negotiating workplace problems

The unit of work is selected from FSK20113 Cert II in Skills for Vocational Pathways. Upon successful completion, students will receive a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment with the unit covered.

Upper intermediate – advanced English students, who wish to improve their communication skills and develop their confidence.
