Improve your spoken and written English for work and study in Australia. The course will cover the following topics:

  • Workplace reading and writing
  • Listening to Australian English
  • Oral communication skills
  • Numeracy
  • Digital literacy
  • Grammar and vocabulary practice

Ideal for...

This course is suitable for intermediate students or students who have completed Everyday English Level 1 course at City East College. All new students need to complete a level assessment prior to enrolment.


Upon successful completion students will receive a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment with the units achieved from

FSK10213 – Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways

All course materials will be provided. Just bring a notebook and a pen and be ready to learn in a friendly and relaxed environment.

Assessments are made against units of competency from the Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways FSK10213.

  • Identify, measure and estimate familiar quantities for work (FSKNUM09)
  • Read and respond to basic workplace instructions (FSKRDG03)
  • Read and respond to simple workplace information (FSKRDG07)
  • Read and respond to basic workplace information (FSKRDG04)
  • Operate a personal computer (ICTICT101)
