Course Outline

Create authenic, homestyle Japanese food as you learn about the importance of food in Japanese culture. Your tutor Ritsuko will share family recipes as well as iconic dishes that she learnt while studying.

Course fee includes all ingredients.

Outcomes

  • Gain an appreciation of the importance of food, and the extended meal in particular, in Japanese culture.
  • Learn about preparation and cooking methods used in Japanese cuisine
  • Prepare, present and eat a traditional Japanese meal.

  • 2 tea towels

  • Takeaway containers for any leftover food
