Course Outline

Improve your spoken English for work and study in Australia. Units are selected from FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Vocational Pathways and will cover the following topics:

  • Australian pronunciation
  • Listening to Australian English
  • Workplace reading and writing
  • Oral communication skills
  • Negotiating and discussing problems
  • Australian slang and common idioms
  • Participating in meetings
  • Presentation skills
  • Grammar and vocabulary practice

This course is suitable for upper-intermediate/advanced students who wish to improve their pronunciation, learn Australian idioms and slang, formal and informal vocabulary, communication strategies, improve their overall speaking skills and develop more confidence.

Outcomes

Units are selected from FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Vocational Pathways. Upon successful completion students will receive a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment with the units achieveld.

All course materials will be provided. Just bring a notebook and a pen and be ready to learn in a friendly and relaxed environment.
