Coastal Photography CityEast College

Course Outline

Capture the light of the ‘golden’ or ‘magic’ hour to create stunning photographs, whatever your subject. The golden hour is that special time when the sun is near the horizon and the atmosphere
atmosphere acts as a giant diffuser, reducing and softening the intensity of direct light. The particular qualities of natural light at these times are prized by photographers: warmer tones and more evenly exposed photos, it is as if the sky is one giant lightbox.

In this experiential course you will be guided by a professional art photographer to gain the knowledge required to work with the rising and setting sun, tips to play with light, how to capture silhouette and textural subjects and experimentation with shadow.

Take advantage of our beautiful coastal environment as you take stylish and artistic photographs that stand out from the crowd.
