Engineering mentors needed

Engineering mentors needed!

Would you like to use your experience and expertise to help skilled migrants and refugees find meaningful employment?

Would you like to address the issue of ‘brain waste’ in our society?

In Australia, there are many skilled professionals not working to their full potential. We’ve all met these people; Uber drivers with university degrees, professionals packing shelves at Woolies, cleaners with long-lost careers. This phenomenon is termed ‘brain waste’ and creates a huge economic and social loss for the individual and our society.

The City East Mentor Program supports skilled migrants and refugees seeking professional employment. Mentors provide guidance and share job-seeking strategies.

This is a flexible and rewarding volunteer opportunity where you can make a real difference in helping a fellow professional transition into life and work in Australia.
We are currently seeking mentors from the Engineering profession.
