The course will provide participants with practical guidelines for their day-to-day business writing needs and build their confidence in overall business communication skills. It is interactive and practical, with feedback on students' projects and writing skills. Participants practise their business communication skills by writing effective letters, emails, reports, proposals, and presentations for business promotions.

About the tutor

Barbara Palframan Smith is a communication consultant who has worked across a wide range of business and industry sectors. She is a former Convenor and Lecturer in PR Studies at Macquarie University in Sydney. She has extensive experience in business communication presentations and workshops at the following organisations: University of Technology Sydney (UTS); Macquarie University; APM College of Business and Communication, Sydney; Auckland University of Technology. Her career has included senior roles in corporates and consultancies and she has won awards for her communications work.
