Want to write but don’t know how to start? Not sure which medium suits you? Your time starts now. Explore different mediums of writing to see which resonates with you. Once you find your best fit, you will be channelled into writing for the future.

Get inspired as you learn about the benefits of writing and how to get the time and discipline to write. Explore different genres of non fiction, fiction, short stories, travel writing, blogging and flash fiction. Also understand the processes to plan for longer works such as novellas or novels.

About your tutor

Karen is passionate about her own writing and the writing of fellow writers, including students. She has a Bachelor of Psychology degree with Honours from Curtin University and a Certificate IV in Training and Workplace Assessment. Karen has written in both technical and creative fields and is a member of the Australian Writers' Guild (AWG). She founded the Writers' Boot Camp in Otford to specifically help procrastinating writers break through their barriers and finish their writing.
