Entry requirements

You will need to have language, literacy and numeracy skills (LLN) that allow you to read and interpret information and complete workplace forms. City East Community College may conduct an LLN assessment as part of the pre enrolment process.

Course Delivery

This course is delivered in a blended learning environment.  Online content completed at your own pace, with trainer support,  or with Trainer led Zoom sessions.

For the Provide First Aid  you must successfully complete the online assessment before attending the practical assessment session. You should allow 4 hours to complete the online pre-study and quiz.  Practical sessions are held 10am -2pm every Friday at our Bondi Junction offices

Course Outcome

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment in Individual Support (Work with Diverse
People, Healthy Body Systems and Provide First Aid). 

Credit Transfer (CT) & Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) 

If you already have one or more of the units, for example HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, you may apply for a credit transfer.  

Recognition of prior learning is an assessment process that involves assessment of an individual’s relevant prior learning (including formal, informal and non-formal learning) to determine the credit outcomes of an individual application for credit.

Validity

The unit HLTAID011 Provide first aid  is valid for three (3) years from date of course completion.
