Spanish Beginners Online

Learn Spanish with this class for absolute beginner’s – whether you’re wanting to learn for travel, business or fun, this beginner’s course will get you started. Get the basics as you learn face to face in these practical and interactive classes.
This course is for people with no previous knowledge of Spanish or for those who want to refresh the basics. It uses a communicative and action-based approach, with an emphasis on speaking and listening skills, whilst also introducing grammatical structures and basic reading and writing skills. Cultural points are integrated into all classroom activities.
Please note, this course is not Spanish for travel or Spanish for business. You will learn the basics in this course, so that you can eventually graduate to speaking Spanish for travel or business.

To enhance your experience, our Online Spanish classes are limited to ten participants using Zoom.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

• Introduce yourself, others and exchange personal information in Spanish
• Engage in basic everyday conversation
• Apply knowledge of the different cultures of Spanish-speaking countries in communication and travel

• Greetings
• Personal information (nationality, occupation, age, name)
• The alphabet and basic rules for pronunciation in Spanish
• Vocabulary for nationalities, occupations and general rules for gender of nouns
• Numbers 1 – 100
• Affirmative and negative sentences in the present tense (conjugation of regular verbs)
• Vocabulary and structures to talk about leisure activities, as well as preferences and intentions
